How we make money

Many store links are affiliate links: when you buy through one, the store may pay us a commission. You pay the same price. Some stores also give our shoppers a discount code, shown as an Exclusive deal with a Copy button.

How equipment is ordered

The finder orders results from your answers and filters; ties go to equipment we've tested, then to the lowest price you can get (a discount code counts only as a lower price). Brand pages list a brand's equipment lowest price first. Commission and payments are never part of the order. The “Only show equipment with exclusive deals” box hides items; it never moves anything up. Ranking details

What brands can't change

A brand can't buy a higher spot, a page, or the removal of a question, answer or complaint. Anything a brand supplies is labeled as coming from the brand.

What counts as a deal

Our price checker visits each store several times a day. An item shows on Deals when today's price is at least 10% and $5 below what we usually see there, or when the store itself is showing a sale price (labeled as the store's). It leaves when the price goes back up. There are no countdown timers. The store's page is the final word on price and stock. Amazon doesn't allow us to show its prices, so Amazon items link out without one.

Used equipment

Used listings come from dealers' public stores and are refreshed daily. We don't sell or handle the money: you buy from and pay the seller directly. Inspect used equipment before you buy.
