The vendor kit
Flex Marks the Spot is the Spot for home gyms. People compare equipment across brands, copy home gym setups, find deals, and ask questions, all in one free place. Every brand has its own storefront here, filled with its equipment, deals and the setups people build with it. Business model is affiliate, and commission never touches the ranking.
What buyers get
- Plain-language finding. “Mostly slow, heavy lifts” becomes real specs — knurl, shaft, whip — with expert filters underneath. Misses are shown and explained, never silently deleted.
- Specs made comparable. Normalized across brands, side by side, with a glossary translating the jargon inline.
- “Will it fit my rack?” answered with receipts. Compatibility verdicts cite the manufacturer’s own listings; safety-critical parts stay capped until the maker confirms.
- The whole gym, planned. Slot-by-slot setups with a running total — the rack you pick scopes the attachments that fit. Shareable with no account.
- Alerts they ask for. Watch a product, name a price — hear about it when it drops. No account needed, one email confirmation.
What partners get
- Accurate representation. We author from your published pages — which are incomplete or wrong more often than anyone admits. Partners get a correction channel straight to the source; every change is reviewed by FMTS before it goes live, and manufacturer-supplied data carries a visible source label.
- Discovery you can’t be outspent in. Results follow the buyer’s stated needs — not ad budgets, not launch cycles. A spec-strong product from a smaller brand stands next to the biggest names and wins on fit. And a product that still fits stays discoverable years after its press cycle ends.
- Visits that arrive decided. Clicks land on your store after filtering, comparing, and planning — with the deliberation behind them measured on our side.
- Sales that reach the right shoppers. A price drop notifies exactly the people already watching that product. Discount codes display on the card, where undecided buyers see them.
- The partner portal. Coming: manage your listings, future-date sales (FMTS-reviewed before anything publishes), and see aggregate demand intelligence no single manufacturer can see anywhere else — what buyers filter for, what they’ll pay, where the market leaves them empty-handed. Early partners are onboarded first, with free introductory access.
See what the portal will show you
Two previews, built with illustrative sample data. Your own numbers absolute; the market as medians and tiers; never a competitor’s numbers — in either direction.
What we ask for
Three things start it — a product-data contact (one person we can reach about specs), a catalog verification pass (about twenty minutes reviewing your line as buyers see it), and a pricing source (an API or feed if you have one, a price list if you don’t, or simply looping us into your sale calendar).
When you’re ready for more: image and media-kit permission · 3D/CAD files (your products, true to scale, in shoppers’ spaces) · fit specs for racks and attachments · shipping rules · affiliate program details. Whatever format your team already maintains is the right format.
What this platform will never do
Sell rank — no tier, free or paid, touches ranking, default visibility, or badges that imply rank. Sell user data — aggregate, threshold-gated trends only; never lists, never raw events. Show a competitor’s numbers — in either direction. Publish unreviewed data — every submission passes FMTS review first. Partners are data allies, never customers buying placement.
